"The Halloween Ride"

“The Halloween Ride”
Miniature ACEO painting 2½” X 3½”
Acrylic on 300lb watercolor paper

When Miss Witch said it would be OK to come along, but you will have to hang on tight, she really meant it!

I did this original ACEO painting in acrylic paint on gesso treated Arches 300lb hot press watercolor paper, and finished it with acrylic varnish in September of 2008. I really like the feeling of my paint on this gessoed watercolor paper. The paint doesn’t absorb into the paper as much, which allows me to paint in transparent layers with the acrylic paint.
